Michael & Associates is a law firm headquartered in Austin, Texas, serving clients throughout the state. We are currently seeking a Bilingual Legal Collections Assistant to join our remote team.
This position is ideal for candidates based in Mexico who are fluent in both English and Spanish and have strong communication, customer service, and collections experience.
In this role, you will support the firm's billing and collections processes while assisting with administrative tasks for attorneys and staff. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with clients in a professional environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Communication- Contact clients by phone, email, and text regarding account balances.- Discuss payment options and assist clients with resolving account-related concerns.- Provide professional customer service in both English and Spanish.Administrative Support- Assist attorneys and staff with scheduling, document preparation, file management, correspondence, and record maintenance.Account Management- Maintain accurate client account records.- Monitor outstanding balances and perform timely follow-up.- Document collection activities and account updates.Bilingual Client Support- Serve as a point of contact for English- and Spanish-speaking clients.- Help ensure clear communication and a positive client experience.Requirements- 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar collections-focused role.- Professional fluency in Spanish and strong English communication skills.- Strong customer service and negotiation skills.- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.- Access to a laptop or desktop computer, a quality headset, reliable high-speed internet, and a backup internet connection.Application InstructionsPlease submit an updated resume highlighting your collections experience, including relevant responsibilities, accomplishments, and account management experience.
