Position Summary

Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. We offer comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, covering areas such as valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact. Deloitte's Infrastructure & Real Estate practice helps organizations create value across the corporate real estate lifestyle - including supporting clients as they select their next strategic locations, developing strategies to optimize their real estate footprints, designing amazing workplaces, and enhancing the corporate real estate function and service delivery model. Work You’ll Do As a Consultant, Real Estate Strategy on the Infrastructure & Real Estate team, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting real estate portfolio optimization strategies, including master planning, campus and headquarters strategy, restructuring, cost optimization, implementation planning, and analytics
  • Assessing and designing Corporate Real Estate (CRE), Facilities Management (FM), and workplace operating models, organizational structures, service delivery models, and business processes across the real estate lifecycle
  • Delivering CRE and FM outsourcing / insourcing consulting services, and technology platform advisory services, including strategy development, requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, contract evaluation, and RFI / RFP process management
  • Enhance CRE, FM, or workplace business processes and workflows across the corporate real estate life cycle (portfolio management, transaction management, design & construction, space & move management, facilities / amenities management, etc.)
  • Design and implement workplace strategies, digital workplace technology / smart building / IoT strategies, and workforce mobility / "work from anywhere" programs
  • Developing quantitative and qualitative analyses, presentations, workshop materials, and project management artifacts to support client decision-making and implementation
  • Collaborating across engagement teams to support stakeholder interviews, facilitate workshops, manage priorities, and deliver quality work products in a fast-paced client environment

The Team Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team are trusted advisors to clients in managing the real estate portfolio and physical asset fleets throughout their lifecycle. We help them unlock value from their real estate portfolios and functions by developing strategies, optimizing operating models and organizational design, and leveraging technology enablement. Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of relevant consulting experience in a professional services environment focused on corporate real estate and or 2+ years of experience serving in an internal role at a corporate real estate organization of a large owner-occupier organization
  • Experience with real estate portfolio optimization strategies, including master planning, campus or headquarters strategy, restructuring, cost optimization, implementation planning, and analytics
  • Experience with corporate real estate, facilities management, workplace strategy, or business processes across the corporate real estate lifecycle, including portfolio management, transaction management, design and construction, space and move management, or facilities and amenities management
  • Experience in 2+ of the following domains: corporate real estate operations improvement, operating model design, outsourcing, workplace strategy, digital workplace, portfolio strategy, corporate real estate mergers and acquisitions, smart buildings, sustainability, or service delivery
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred

  • MBA
  • Experience developing workplace strategy deliverables, including change management plans, communications plans, opportunity assessments, business cases, and implementation plans
  • Experience applying change management concepts in a corporate real estate environment, including stakeholder management planning and communications strategy development
  • Experience with integrated workplace technologies and platforms, including integrated workplace management systems, enterprise asset management platforms, or smart building ecosystems
  • Experience using analytics to evaluate and optimize business processes
